Jessica Alba is one of the most beautiful women in all of hollywood. Any person blessed with the sense of sight could tell you that. Well, that was not enough, it seems. Alba did not believe that she was as beautiful as we all know she is.
In an interview with Heath Magazine for its October issue, Alba says she was “a lot more critical of [her] body when it was probably pretty awesome.” Her self criticism (“Why did I not ever wear jean shorts? That’s so crazy. I was so skinny. I didn’t have cellulite…what was I thinking?”) only subsided after she had her two children – Honor, 5, and Haven, 2. “I was more willing to wear short skirts after I had my kids. I never wore them before. Ever. I was so self-conscious,” she says. “Now I’m a lot more confident in my skin – because who cares? At the end of the day, it’s so much time spent on something that really doesn’t matter that much.”
Alba, 32, thanks healthy eating for the way she looks today – avoiding processed foods and starting each morning with a green juice – as well as interval training and a corset (she wore one for 3 months after the birth of her second daughter in 2011!). “Your muscles are completely stretched,” she explains. “[The corset] gets the muscle memory going quicker. It’s just to get our body back. Because everything is everywhere!”
