Explosive fire erupts in historic firehouse in Center City Philadelphia, leaving some damage.
According to officials, the fire may have started in a medical unit ambulance that was parked inside the house. In an attempt to contain the blaze, firefighters had to turn on water hoses from their own building.
The fire house has been referred to as the Ben Franklin Firehouse and is said to be the oldest firehouse in the entire nation. Fire Commissioner LLoyd Ayers showed up to the house on 4th and Arch Street after the fire was extinguished.
No injuries have been reported.
