Though it does not happened often but we do hear about parents once in a while that sell their kids. A young couple in China sold three of their kids so that they could play internet games in cafes with internet. Now if that is not bazaar I do not know what is! Parents are both under the age of 21. The first sale occurred in 2009 when they sold their baby girl for under $500 and the second sale occurred with their boy that they sold for $4,600. The last sale was their third boy that again sold for under $4,600. Police were informed of this when the grandmother of the kids filed a report. Once the parents were convicted of the crime they stated that they were not aware that selling their kids was a crime.
The sale of children is illegal, criminals who are caught selling their kids get jail time. This crime is becoming more common in India. Please if you know of this going on somewhere report this crime to the police immediately! It is a serious offense and not something to ignore.
